I felt like I was in National Geographic!! It took everything I had not to warn that oblivious little squirrel. I was also thinking... what's so wrong with duck? They are so plentiful, as you can see in the picture. Apparently, that cat is picky when it comes to lunch.
That's one lucky squirrel.**P.S. June 21st: Today we found our hungry calico cat next to our garden... He'd been hit by a car. May you Rest In Peace, Calico, and may your days in cat heaven be filled with the jolly chasing and catching of many a plump squirrel.
